PLASMAMD®

PlasmaMD is designed to improve a variety of common skin aging concerns without surgery, providing personally tailored results to every patient.

PlasmaMD is a plasma energy device that achieves impressive results with the use of precise ARC Energy Technology. This technology directs the plasma energy through the device, and when it reacts with the air molecules within the 1 millimeter space between the device and the patient’s skin, it sparks a unique reaction that creates a purposeful, controlled injury that is intended to improve the appearance of skin laxity and texture, as well as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

PlasmaMD results are typically noticeable as soon as the initial healing process is complete, but the goal is to promote the healthy development of collagen and elastin, which leads to additional improvements in the weeks and months following the first treatment. This device is full of exciting possibilities because it is proven to provide long-term, natural looking skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime and no surgery.

FAQ

Is the PlasmaMD treatment painful?

Our aesthetician will provide a topical compounded numbing cream prior to your treatment. Numbing takes about 20-25 minutes for the face and patients can expect minimal discomfort and ofter describe the treatment as mildly tingly and warm sensations.

What can I expect from the post-treatment experience?

PlasmaMD Arc Energy visibly gets to work on the treated areas immediately, you'll notice the "carbon crusts" begin to appear as soon as the treatment is over. Because of this, you can expect minimal social downtime, approximately 3-7 days. Your provider will share exact post-treatment protocol based on your skin and size/quantity of areas treated.

How long does the actual treatment take?

The total treatment time varies based on size and quantity of areas being treated. On average, the treatment is about 60 minutes including the application of a topical numbing cream.

What makes PlasmaMD unique?

  • FDA Class II Cleared
  • Training Certification
  • Unparalleled Results
  • Light to Dark Skin Types

What is the downtime?

Our patients inspired us to coin the term "the plasma perspective," which means that for a non-surgical treatment with impressive results, the minimal social downtime (3-7 days) is worth it! Following the post-treatment protocol given to you by your provider is a key factor in optimizing your results and minimizing downtime.

When can I wear makeup/resume my normal skincare routine?

In general, once the "carbon crusts" flake off completely, you'll be able to resume your makeup application. Follow the personalized post-treatment protocol from your provider.

When will I see results?

Although results are often noticeable once the initial healing process ends, your results will continue to develop. The goal of Plasma Energy is to promote the development of your own collagen and elastin which can create additional improvements in your results the weeks and months following your treatment.

How long do the results last?

Results vary by patient. Many patients and providers report that PlasmaMD devices deliver results for an average of up to 3 years.

Can the PlasmaMD treat all skin types?

PlasmaMD can treat light to dark skin types. Ask your provider for additional information regarding treatments for your skin type and areas of concern.
